Photospot 1 - Longstone

LONGSTONE - 1:24 15" gauge - built 2016-2017

3 photos of my latest project, a fictitious 15" gauge "estate" line in North Yorkshire.

An early photograph when the "village" baseboard was nearly complete.  No.3 "Triton" takes the branch leading through the station to the woollen mill.  "Triton" is a Smallbrook Studios kit, as are all my locomotives so far.

Loco No. 4 "Delta" is seen shunting into the mill storage shed.  The stone buildings on the layout are a foam board shell covered with Slaters 7mm scale Dressed Stone sheet.  Roofs are individual cardboard tiles on thin mdf.

This is the tiny passenger shelter at the station with "Delta" on a test run.  The shelter is made with a foam board shell covered with coffee stirrers.  The valance is laser cut, by York Modelmaking.
